There's more exciting news on the “Heroes” casting front, especially for fans of the one-time UPN series "Star Trek: Enterprise."
Dominic Keating, possibly best know for his role as Lt. Malcolm Reed on the final Star Trek spinoff, has been added to the second season cast of NBC's "Heroes," according to Variety. Also getting the nod to join is Dianna Agron, who has been seen as various minor characters on "Veronica Mars."
Keating is one of a string of new cast members that have join the show, and he will play a super-powered Irish mobster, while Agron will join Hayden Panettiere as what will now be one of two cheerleaders on the show.
Recent additions to the series include David Anders (Sark on "Alias"), Nick D'Agosto, Shalim Ortiz and Dania Ramirez ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "X-Men 3"). "Heroes" producers have been very secretive with details as to what powers each character will have. However, here's what's known so far.
Anders is set to play a new villain -- a 1,000-year-old man named Kane. D'Agosto's character will be named West, who likely is to be a romantic interest for Claire (Panettiere). Like Claire, he will possess powers. D'Agosto will join the cast after Season 2 begins in September.
Ortiz will play an illegal immigrant, who has escaped his country to search for his sister in the United States. At press time, it was not known if the character would have any super powers. Ramirez will play Maya, another character with special abilities.
"Heroes" returns in the fall with its second season on NBC. |
