Dragon Z Live Action Film?

A New Live Action film based on the Anime of Dragon Z is coming. I've never watched this before only seen a few short clips of this anime Series.
Synopsis
This is an epic story between good and evil, centering on the character Goku and a handful of friends who battle for the Earth against the deadly forces of the Saiyans, who are sweeping across the universe, leaving a path of destruction. Goku and friends' best chance of survival rests with the Namekian DragonBalls, which provide them the power to summon a mighty dragon.
While this project has been rumored for quite some time, it may or may not actually happen. In March 2002, 20th Century Fox acquired the film rights to the hugely successful Japanese property for Fox 2000 to develop into a live-action franchise.

An old and trusted scooper named Tailgunner Joe has just dropped some info into my lap, and after taking a spin around Google, I'm convinced it's news: James Wong, formerly of The X-Files and the man behind Final Destination and The One, is writing and directing the live action version of Dragon Ball, which is going to go into production in Canada this November 2007.
