Apparently a New Knight Rider Movie based on the 80's TV Series is to be made which could lead to a new series. Intriguing!

It looks like KITT has himself a new partner.
NBC has tapped soap star Justin Bruening to front a new Knight Rider TV movie that could serve as a pilot to a revived series based on the '80s action-adventure about a crimefighter and his talking Trans-Am.
Per the Hollywood Reporter, the 28-year-old actor will play the son of Michael Knight, the original series' hero played by David Hasselhoff.
The 1982-86 Knight Rider chronicled how an undercover cop named Michael Long was gunned down on the job and then given a new face and identity by a secret, extragovernmental Foundation for Law and Government . Rechristened Michael Knight, after the dying billionaire behind FLAG, he is dispatched to fight baddies with his chatty sports car, KITT.
Some Good News for the Hoff Fans, He wants to play Michael Knight as a support role to his son of Knight Rider. Cool! 8)

David Hasselhoff is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming Knight Rider television movie.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the actor, affectionately referred to as 'The Hoff' by his loyal fan base, is in discussions with broadcaster NBC about reprising his role as Michael Knight - a part that propelled him to megastardom in the mid 1980s. Knight, a former cop, joined forces with a talking car called KITT to tackle all manner of evils in the show. However, it is believed that Hasselhoff, who recently suffered a relapse in his fight against alcoholism, is likely only to be cast in a cameo role.
The two-hour film is set to be a sequel to the original series, rather than a remake. The lead role has already been announced, with Justin Bruening starring as Knight's estranged son Mike.
It would be good if the Hoff could have some involvement with the New TV Pilot and possibly series.
