The Next superman Film to be directed by Bryan Singer has now taken flight. Please post all news of this film on this thread.

Last summer Bryan Singer completed a project that had been in and out of production for almost 15 years when "Superman Returns" made its debut, introducing a whole new generation to the world’s most renowned superhero while simultaneously exciting existing fans worldwide.
After the initial success of the movie on its opening weekend, rumors began flying that Warner Bros. were looking to continue with Superman into a series of movies, hoping to mirror the success other comic book heroes have come to enjoy. Well, recently that sequel project has begun to take shape as work on the script commences and actors begin signing on.
Kevin Spacey is the first to announce his return for the sequel (so far titled "Man of Steel") and will reprise the role of diabolical mastermind Lex Luthor. Bryan Singer, who will be back to direct, met up with Spacey while he was appearing in "Misbegotten" on Broadway. Michael Dougherty is currently writing the screenplay and the movie is expected to debut in May 2009.
Although not officially announced yet, both Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth are also expected to return as Clark Kent and Lois Lane.
