Timelord Tennant Quits Doctor Who

Tennant's announcement will bring to an end his four-year tenure as the 10th Timelord, where he helped reinvigorate the classic show.

He said: "I love this show and if I don't take a deep breath and move on now I never will and you will be wheeling me out of the Tardis in my bath chair.
"It's been the most brilliant, mad, life-changing time over the last three-and-a-half years but I am not going yet.
"Thank you for watching it, for loving it and for being so enthusiastic about the show."
Tennant beat his co-star Catherine Tate to clinch the award.
But Tate, who plays the Doctor's assistant, still took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall when she collected the Best Drama award for Dr Who.
She said: "This is extraordinary. I know Doctor Who has won it every year.
"I was sweating we were going to lose the year I joined."

I'm quite shocked just read it now!
I can understand David Tennant calling it quits after 2009 he will be very difficult to replace. The BBC have a year to find a suitable replacement as I guess they will do a regenerating scene after the 'Special' episodes in 2009.
Thanks for Doing well as Dr Who No10 my favourite after Tom Baker.

Crap! I just read this now, great Doctor and he shouldn't leave. I'm not happy Enterprise!. I recommended Mr Enterprise for the next Doctor? any bets please?
