Afterworld Web-TV Series (2007 -

A New Web -Tv Series is now showing on youtube ; MySpace and other video sites shown also on the SCi-Fi Channel.

Afterworld is the name of am ambiguous vapourware MMO, A new series on television. It debuted on the Sci-Fi Channel in Australia on August the 7th. The 100 episode plus series consists of short 2-3 minute segments of a single narrative, created using Limited animation often panning and zooming static cgi renders.
Afterworld is about life on Earth following an inexplicable global event that renders technology useless and 99% of the population missing.

The story follows the adventures of Russell Shoemaker, a man who wakes up in New York after this event and is compelled to walk to Seattle in the faint hope that his wife and daughter have survived. Russell's harrowing journey from technology dependence to total self-reliance mirrors the world he discovers along the way.Piecing together the mystery of what caused the global event, Russell eventually paves the way for the bold new future of mankind.


I have just seen episode 1 which looks good, apparently there are about 130 episodes available to watch for free. I'll have to catch-up!
