Connor's Headey Gets Physical | Quote: | Lena Headey, who stars in Fox's upcoming SF series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, told reporters that she was perfectly capable of juggling the physical and emotional demands of her role. The action and the drama actually inform each other, Headey said in a conference call this week.
"The physicality of someone like Sarah feeds into the emotional side of everything, too," Headey said. "It helps all of that. So they go together really, really nicely. At the end of the day, I'm usually quite tired, though!"
Headey (300) plays Connor, the very human woman who will fight tooth and nail to protect her son, John (Thomas Dekker), the teenager who will eventually grow into the man who leads the human resistance against the machines. The series is based on the hit Terminator film franchise.
Headey was undaunted by the physical demands of the role, which require her to shoot guns and fight killer cyborgs from the future. "It's my job, so I love it," she said. "Do you know what I mean? There's an enjoyment from being challenged in an exciting way."
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which was created and is executive-produced by Josh Friedman, debuts on the Fox broadcasting network over two nights, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Jan. 14 at 9 p.m., before moving to its regular timeslot, Mondays at 8 p.m. --Ian Spelling |
most of these action shows require a high pysical fitness and the action scenes themselfs are very tough espeically the terminator movies.
