Discuss and post about this BBC Sci-Fi Series on this thread.

Here's some Basic Information about this TV Series:

Quote:
Blake's 7 is set in the future, in a time when the Earth and many other planets are ruled by the totalitarian Terran Federation. Roj Blake, played by Gareth Thomas, is a political dissident convicted on a trumped-up charge and sentenced to deportation to a penal colony on a remote planet. Escaping while being transported, with the assistance of his fellow prisoners, he obtains an advanced alien spacecraft, the Liberator which he uses to strike back against the Federation. He receives somewhat reluctant support from the rest of his crew, who are fellow escapees, especially Kerr Avon, played by Paul Darrow, a technical genius more interested in saving his own skin and seeking personal wealth than striking a blow for freedom. Later on in the series, when Blake is separated from his crew, Avon takes over, but remains a target for the forces of the Federation.

Starring Gareth Thomas as Roj Blake :Paul Darrow as Kerr Avon
Sally Knyvette as Jenna Stannis Michael Keating as Vila Restal. Created by Terry Nation(Dalek Creator)

Depends on your definition of a good show? I grew up watching this Show on the ABC Australia but missed the first two series. It was made by the BBC and featured stars and crew who appeared also in Doctor Who.

It's set in the distant future, I think it was good storytelling with a touch of fantasy obviously the visual effects are not that good compared with today's standards and some episodes were cheaply done.

A rebel force striking back at a Totalitarian regime and setting those enslaved by this regime'The Federation' free. Abit similiar to the plot of the Star Wars Films.

One of my fav classic shows from the 70's AND 80'S.It's worth checking out if this sought of Sci-fi appeals to you.

A new audio series is now available online to listen at www.B7media.com

There is also discussions of a new B7 Live TV series(more as a spinoff than a remake)..
